Impress Smartphone Remote — Flowing through the slideshow

Today saw work begin on the main screen of the presentations. In the morning it still looked like this:

By the evening it was looking somewhat better:
The “notes” are just temporary and will at some point be functional, and better looking.

Impress Smartphone Remote — A bit of style

Today I added some styling to the thumbnail view, and made it work, meaning it can now be used to control slideshows:

Coming up next is making the main slideshow control view with 3d switching, which is likely to take a few days.

Impress Smartphone Remote Control — A first preview

As part of the Google Summer of Code I’m currently working on adding smartphone remote control to Impress. It’s still very much a work in progress, however much of the basic groundwork has already been done.

At the moment it is possible to control a presentation and view a preview of the current slide on the smartphone app: (this is only a temporary interface to allow for testing of the control):
On Friday I also began working on a thumbnail view of the presentation:
Because of a bug it’s not possible to control the slideshow from that screen yet, which is what I’ll be fixing romorrow. I’m also hoping to theme the view to make it look nicer. The design team have done some great work on designing what the app will eventually look like, you can see this on the wiki.
